A great summer in South Lake Tahoe

My wife went to Tahoe yesterday and spent some time with family. Things have apparently picked up in South Lake Tahoe with summer in full swing. The hot days attacking most of the west right now have been keeping Tahoe great for fun on the lake. Now’s a great time to get up to the lake to go water skiing, fishing, kayaking, or just play on the beach before stopping by the casinos.

My wife’s casino of choice to stop by yesterday was Lakeside Inn where they had dinner that she said was absolutely great: macadamia nut halibut with a piña colada bread pudding and raspberry crème brûlée for dessert. She’s just had to tell me about it 3 times already, so it’s probably worth a try ;)

We’re looking at doing some camping in the area in the next couple of weeks - it’s just too beautiful to be sitting here behind the computer all day. Will probably stop by the casinos - always like to check out how Mont Bleu is changing and the ambiance there is a bit more friendly and less casino-feeling than at many other casinos. Maybe we’ll see you there!
